Alpha version launch!
First alpha version of Don Quixote The Clicker was launched!
I started this project as a path to learn Unity and C# and it’s really helpful. I can feel how my brain starting analyzing the problems more easily and thinking about logic of specific code area is much simpler now! If you want to start programming games - just pick random easy concept and just start making stuff like i did. Previously i was working on JRPG game in GameMaker, then switched to Unity and tried to make a JRPG game there, but i got stuck on classes for stats stuff(also i was planning on a big game, but already understood that its not that good for the first ever game) so i decided to make a game that i will probably finish(i mean 1.0.0 release, not this alpha demo thingie). And here we are, the alpha of Don Quixote The Clicker! Publishing the project here is really giving me a wave of motivation and i just love where things are going!
Here is the things that this version have:
- Click system(wow)
- Fully set up upgrade system for complex upgrades in future
- Neat animations of obtaining donqies on click
- Formatted numbers (1000000 -> 1.000 million), but you cannot really see it now because the upgrades variations in this version is very.. limited, let’s say
- The set up x1 x10 x100 buttons for fast buy, and purchase/sell buttons. THE SELL BUTTON NOW IS SLIGHTLY BUGGED(you need some donqies to actually sell something, sounds weird)
- Neat per second donqies obtaining. If you have 2 donqies per second, you will not just obtain 2 every second, no, you will obtain, in this case, 1 donqie every half of second, what looks very cool
What i plan add next(not everything in one update):
- Cheat panel. Right now only i can edit the numbers and have huge numbers on the screen, but you can’t, so i will add this panel for you to test new features quickly!
- Saving system. The sooner - the better. Later on a lot of stuff will added, and i will have to take into account this huge amount of stuff, and something will probably go off. So if i will make it at the start of project i can just simply edit the saving script everytime i add cool feature!
- More buttons on the screen, for upgrades shop, items shop, settings and other stuff.. wait, ITEMS??
- Items! Items will be the very important part of the gameplay. Some will just give basic donqies per second, some will affect on donqies per click, some will.. hehe. And some will give big Donya the affects! Affects, you ask?
- Affects will be, i think, the core of the game. They will stack and affect on your currency. Well, not that WOW, but they will give bonus stuff for you when you will fulfill the specific conditions.
Everything will refer to the trilogy of Project Moon games, where Don Quixote came from!
